Portable Data Terminals are compact, high performance data terminal for all-day, everyday use. It’s giving best solution to reduce problem in customer electricity meter reading, which can minimize human error in data entry.

PDT have integrated barcode scanning unit and will scan customer ID barcode which is placed in Kwh meter. PLN staff can input data and save it to the PDT. After that, costumer's meter data can be downloaded by PLN computer.

Communication between PDT and computer used RS-232 cable with transfer rate of 115200 bps. For branches that far from PLN office, there is modem cradle (for PDT 8001) as long distance communication tool. It can reduce cost and increase work time efficiency.
